Marcela Lucatelli

JUNE 3
4PM

Thorvaldsens Museum and roda – soft water on hard stone are pleased to invite you to Marcela Lucatelli’s performance Encantamento Wednesday 3 June 4pm.
In this lecture performance on encantamento (enchantment) sound tickles the cosmos as a collective force rather than an individual gesture. Through decolonial compositional practices, Marcela Lucatelli unsettles dystopian narratives of individuality, opening space for multiplicity, relationality and shared presence. The audience is drawn into the work as an active collective choir, dissolving the boundary between performer and listeners. Voice, piano, and bodily technology intertwine as the Brazilian, Denmark based artist navigates between visible and invisible worlds, proposing a porous, enchanted field where sound circulates and connects. Get ready for composing, laughing, listening, and being together – in a space where the many emerge through a single voice, and that voice belongs to no one alone.
roda – soft water on hard stone is a continued conversation with artists and thinkers unfolding in various formats on three continents and the ocean in between. In the face of accelerating interlaced crises birthed by colonial, capitalist and extractivist logics, roda – soft water on hard stone searches for ways to develop sensibilities of co-existence across human and more-than-human worlds that can guide us towards better ways of living, learning, making and believing.

The performance is free.
