LUCIA & MULLED WINE IN THE COURTYARD /
CHOIR CONCERT WITH LYDMUR

December 13, 2025, 5:00–6:30 PM

Christmas is approaching, and Thorvaldsens Museum opens its doors for a special December evening. In the midst of the winter darkness, we invite you to a magical musical pause, where light and song come together.

In the museum’s inner courtyard, you can warm yourself with a cup of white mulled wine and experience the women’s choir Lydmur as they walk in a Lucia in the museum. The lights are turned off, and from the courtyard we see the glow and hear the voices moving through the dark corridors toward the museum’s Christ Hall. After the procession they will give an outdoor choir concert, where Lydmur performs pieces from their regular repertoire and, in honor of the season, some entchanting Christmas songs.

ABOUT LYDMUR

Lydmur is a women’s choir founded by conductor Kathrine Svensmark in 2020. The choir consists of 30 singers who, with great precision and sensitivity, unite classical resonance with modern rhythms. Their soundscape moves between the simple and the powerful, and their concert program includes interpretations of songs by, among others, Caroline Polachek, Michael Jackson, Anne Linnet, Medina, and St. Vincent.

We look forward to giving you a warm welcome.
