Prams and Pushchairs

Families with children are very welcome in Thorvaldsens Museum, but on account of the very narrow doorways and openings, it is unfortunately not possible for visitors to bring their own prams and pushchairs into the museum.

However, the museum has a number of small pushchairs of the “umbrella” type, which can be borrowed free of charge. Use of these pushchairs is obligatory unless the family’s own buggy is of the “umbrella” type.

There are no elevators in the museum between the three exhibition levels.
