Stories for children and their grown-ups NB In Danish

The ancient world was full of fantastic tales about the dangerous exploits of gods and heroes on the heights of Mount Olympus and on earth. Come and listen to one of the classical stories hidden here in the museum, when our narrator brings the gods and heroes to life.
Who for: Children aged between 7 and 12 and their grown-ups.
When: Wednesday February 15 and Friday February 17 from 11 to 12.
Children free, adults DKK 40.

Drawing Classes for children and their grown-ups NB In Danish

Under the guidance of our drawing instructors, you are given training in the technique of drawing as it was in Thorvaldsen’s day. Thorvaldsen himself was only 11 years old when he started in the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where drawing was the first thing to be learned.
Who for: Children aged 8 and up.
When: Tuesday February 14 and Thursday February 16 from 11 to 13.
Children free, adults DKK 40.

Explore the museum on your own

In the museum shop you can buy an adventure pack for DKK 49. It contains everything you need to go exploring and discovering in Bertel Thorvaldsen’s collection of antiquities. And for DKK 5 you can buy sheets on which to draw sculptures or the geometrical patterns in the floors.
